Hello Everyone

What a couple weeks of weather to start Nov!! I just wanted to send a quick update on what has happened around the course during this time. Last week we saw 40 dead ash tree removed from holes 6 and 7 along with the start of our full bunker renovation, and hopefully by the end of next week the bunkers will be fully completed, ready for play first thing next spring. This winter we will also see the removal of the forest left of 2 green and the majority of the remaining dead ash on holes 8 and 9. We know it was hard to not be out playing last week in the perfect weather but it has allowed us to get a huge jump start on these projects bringing you the best Muni possible in 2021. I really look forward to everyone seeing these changes come Spring!!

Lastly to complete our 2020 AGM Process here is a quick update from the Board.

Thank you to all members that participated in the AGM process by
requesting report packages.  A few errors were spotted in the package
and corrections were made.

Four 3-year terms were open for the board of directors and the following
members were acclaimed to the positions. Congratulations to Jamie
Antonio, Jack Brooks, Dan Martin and Mark Nelson.

Hello Everyone

What a beautiful fall it has been for golf!! It’s been so nice to see the golf course continue to be busy into the last week of October and with that being said I’m just sending out some quick updates.

For everyone asking about the closing date, we are looking at Sunday Nov 1st right now as being the final day. The weather forecast for the first week of Nov does look nice for golf, but we have the opportunity to have our full bunker renovations start on Nov 2nd, and can’t miss this opportunity to get the work done so next season when everyone returns they are complete and ready to play.

The power carts will be leaving for the season this Friday, so we are asking that everyone who also has their own cart in the compound have it removed by Friday as well.

Lastly for anyone who has yet to clear out their lockers please do so asap so they are clear for winter cleaning, and if you are in possession of a pull cart handle please make sure to return before Sunday.

Hello Everyone

As the season starts to wind down, I just thought I would send out a few house keeping items. I have yet to decide on a firm closing date, but since the 14 day forecast has a chance of snow from Oct 27th to Nov 1st, I can almost guarantee that it will be somewhere very close to Sat Oct 31st, unless we see a big change in the weather for early Nov. With that being said I am asking that everyone has their lockers cleared out and locks removed by Oct 26th, for winter cleaning. We will also be seeing our carts removed for the season on Oct 30th so we are asking for anyone with their own cart in compound to also have their carts removes by the 30th as well.

Thanks and hope to see lots of people out before the end of the 2020 season.

Annual General Meeting Notification

There will not be an actual in person Annual General Meeting for the 2020 season.  This is due to the Covid 19 situation.  Although all the work that is usually completed at the AGM will be attempted.

A package of reports will be developed and made available for members.  When the package of reports is ready a Muni Minute message will be sent out with instructions for members to obtain the information electronically.

The Board of Directors is using the following dates for completing the AGM process.

October 9:       Package of reports ready for members.

October 16:     Questions about reports or other matters should be directed to President Steven Nesbitt at     [email protected]     or by calling him at 519-273-2092.

October 20:     Have responses to any questions completed.

October 22:     Voting – acceptance of reports, changes to Constitution and election of Board members.  Further instructions to be sent in a future Muni Minute.

Below are the posted tee times for Saturdays Sr. and Ladies Club Championships. Thank you to everyone that signed up as we have an amazing 76 players playing in the Sr. Club and 14 Ladies. I apologize for this coming out only one day before tournament but the website crashed yesterday and I wasn’t able to get on to send this out. Also Saturday is calling for a substantial amount of rain so please be prepared to play in the rain and if we have thunder and lightening or playing conditions become unplayable the event will just be moved to a later date in September as we have such a busy day and so many players Saturday that a delay is just not in the cards.

Lastly the course will be closed from 5pm Sunday Aug 30th till 12:30pm Monday Aug 31st for greens aeration. This is a vital turf practice to keep our greens in the great shape they are and we appreciate your understanding. With all this beautiful weather they should be back to normal in no time at all.
